Kdrama Review: Blossom with Love
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Main Genre: Reality Show
*4.5
This was so wholesome and so sweet! I thought I wouldn’t enjoy this one as much because I kind of didn’t expect this to be filled with drama like how I expected Single’s Inferno to be, but I was proven so wrong! I loved this one way more than Single’s Inferno (overall).
This is a SEMI-SPOILER review because I will be going in more depth about my opinions of the characters’ and their relationships in the second half of this review.

Synopsis:
It's their first time, so they are clumsy. Their clumsiness makes their hearts flutter even more, facing vivid moments. A boy and a girl who might be experiencing what could perhaps be love. A reality program about first love where they share these potentially romantic feelings. (Source: TVING | Translated)
Review:
I loved how these kids had artistic interests and pursuits (ps this was an art school) because I believe that gave them more of a flair and is definitely more interesting that having a bunch of study bugs in the same situation (no offense to all the overachievers out there, I’m one of them as well lol). These kids ages ranged from 17-19 I’m pretty sure so they were still in their teen years, but I don’t think any of them expected to make such meaningful friendships and, for some of them, actually experience true love.
Seeing them interact with each other and work through their feelings was so cute as they all were shy and not super bold about their feelings. They were cautious but still obvious was very entertaining to watch. This show is very youthful and is probably something many teenagers wish they could have because of the amazing relationships that truly blossomed from this experience.
I keep on forgetting these aren’t scripted and are actual people who participated in something like this and genuinely enjoyed and lived in the moment, not just paid actors to look like they were having fun. That’s a big part about why I enjoyed this one so much, it was so pure and absolutely real.
They had different activities they would go to and participate in like dates at the movies, restaurants, etc. Having them grouped together randomly was the most interesting for me because I was curious to see if anyone’s feelings would waver after going on those dates but the ones where the kids could choose their dates/who to go with were definitely the ones that had me kicking my feet and squealing.
Overall, I didn’t expect the kids to actually fall in love in such a wholesome and true way. The emotions they felt were so genuine, I couldn’t stop my heart from fluttering and myself from smiling.
REST OF THE REVIEW HAS SOME FORM OF SPOILERS
Just a friendly reminder, these are simply my OPINIONS
My favorite female character overall: Yu-ri
She was so cute and honestly just so chill.
My favorite male character overall: Jun-young
Is it because of his looks…possibly….but he’s also the most boldest from everyone which I liked
My favorite couple overall: Soo-min and Dong-wook
I have a lot to say about these two. They were the IT, iconic, OG couple of this show, period. They showed interest super early on in the show, and it wasn’t one-sided, they both liked each other. Their scenes were by far the most genuine and real ones and they truly seemed to love each other so much. Though, because I kind of knew they would end up together at the end because of how possessive and obvious they were about each other, I wasn’t super interested in their dates (especially the more the show went on) because I knew they were on mutual grounds about their feelings. Nonetheless, hands down the best, most solid couple of the show.
2nd favorite couple overall: Ah-yeon and Hye-song
I felt so bad for Ah-yeon when she was in a sort-of unrequited love situation, but then Hye-Song started showing much more obvious feelings for her so then I felt happy for her. But, I felt bad for Ryoe-woon after she was totally left in the dust even though she was so head over heels for Hye-song, but I’m glad her relationship with Ah-yeon didn’t completely break. Back to these two, they had a very mature-like feel to their relationship compared to Soo-min and Dong-wook’s more childish-teenish vibes.
My favorite “almost was” couple: Yu-ri and Jun-young
Their chemistry was undeniable and I wish we got to see more of them, or more like they realized sooner that they liked each other. I couldn’t stop watching edits about these two after I finished the show. I kept on wondering who Yu-ri was interested in because most of the show we really couldn’t tell (or at least I couldn’t) but I’m glad we got to see some of their moments.
ALSO: can’t believe Sung-yoon and Hye-in didn’t end up together?? Like what? They definitely seemed like endgame. Even though they were not the main characters like Soo-min and Dong-wook, they still definitely were there and obvious it seemed like.
The most good looking girl: Yu-ri or Soo-min
Both of their beauty gave completely different vibes, but definitely the ones that caught my eye the most. Okay but also, is it just me or did Soo-min’s skin have more of a glow as she started talking and liking Dong-wook more and more as the show went on??
The most good looking guy: Jun-young
I think this is something that is simply a fact, and can be agreed on unanimously.
The girl I have the most respect for: Ryeo-won
Hands down, no question asked (Ah-yeon is a close second). This girl deserves all the hugs and love in the world! She is so strong for being able to handle having the guy she was over the moon for and one of her closest friends becoming closer and more obviously interested in each other. I could so clearly see how much that truly hurt her and I wished someone had truly been able to comfort her properly, I don’t remember someone really listening to her because if I was in her spot I would need to vent to someone. I do appreciate how she was mature enough to stay friends with both Ah-yeon and Hye-song even after the circumstances that occurred. My heart broke for her every time I saw her so sad like that, I really wanted to just give her the biggest hug ever. I’m glad she looked much happier by the end of the show. I want her to find someone who loves her just as much as she seemed to love Hye-song.
The girl with the best personality: Ah-yeon
She had the biggest heart and was so mature! She was always helping her friends, listening to them (especially Soo-min), giving advice, and just simply being there. She was also so mature and handled being (basically) rejected by the original guy she liked so calmly.
The guy with the best personality: Sung-yoon
I need to give him a moment of appreciation. He was so wholesome, adorable, and caring! He remembered Hye-in liked kinder chocolate bars and got her a whole box of them??? Like shut up, that is so ridiculously sweet.
