I had high expectations for this kdrama because everyone was loving it. I had seen some clips of it and liked it so I decided to watch it. I’m glad I did, this was such a unique and incredible kdrama. I loved the new concept so much and I aspire to be like the three strong ladies in this kdrama.

Synopsis:
Strong Girl Namsoon is a K-drama about a girl named Nam-soon who was born with superhuman strength, like her mother. When she was young, her father took her to Mongolia to photograph the stars and lost her. As an adult, she travels to South Korea to search for her parents. She meets Hwang Geum-joo and her grandmother, Gil Joong-gan, in the Gangnam district. Eventually, Nam-soon, her mother, and grandmother become entangled in a drug case that Detective Gang Hee-sik is investigating
Review:
Gang Nam-soon (Lee You-mi) got lost in Mongolia as a kid, and eventually when she was reunited with her family after a series of events which made her become friendly with this one cop named Kang Hee-shik (Ong Seong-wu). She started to become involved in a drug case that her fellow cop friend was involved in. This new drug in Korea is extremely lethal and dangerous and it’s killing people in large numbers. The cop and his team, along with Gang Nam-soon, become more and more involved in this case to put those behind it in jail and end this problem.
Kang Hee-shik, the cop, was so determined to get to the bottom of the case. I loved his devotion and passion to his mission as he wanted to truly help people. He was so determined; he was willing to dress up as a woman when going undercover and he slayed every time!
Gang Nam-soon and Kang Hee-shik were pretty cute, but I felt like the romance really wasn’t a major aspect of this kdrama and rather it was the case, so I don’t really have much for or against their relationship. I do have to say, I loved the way Kang Hee-shik would look at Gang Nam-soon and the way he would get really worried for her or jealous. Overall, they were an average couple, nothing really stood out much about them.
The plot was nicely paced. It wasn’t slow or too fast and I didn’t get bored throughout the show. For the most part, I was hooked and wanted to know what happened next. The concept was really unique and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I rooted for Gang Nam-soon and her mother so much, especially when things got tense. There were some moments towards the end of the show that left me completely shocked and we were left on a couple of cliffhangers. I need to know more details about these twists of events because they were actually crazy and I can’t believe they would leave us like that!
Now, I’m going to address the man that made everyone lose their minds. Our villain of the show, Ryu Shi-oh (Byeon Woo-seok). First things first, he is the biggest red flag ever. Though his past and childhood validate (kind of, not really?) how messed up he is. Still, even though he is really horrible, he does have some sort of heart in there as he loved and trusted Hillary and was sweet to his father who abandoned him. He deserved better and if only he grew up surrounded by love, he could’ve been such a great guy.
Overall, I would recommend this show for people to watch as it’s fast paced and fun. It’s got tons of various aspects like action, romance, comedy, and tons of drama for every type of watcher. I enjoyed this show a lot and wished I watched it sooner!
